Following on from the identification of areas requiring development, IVEC are able to draw on the necessary expertise required to suggest procedures to rectify these needs.

The drill-down audit, has been used effectively to identify problems and to test traceability systems. The process of this audit is to develop a sampling programme ensuring statistical significance and then carrying an end product selection. This will follow through to the end of the production chain e.g. animal of origin though to packaged pork.
