Services to the Animal Health Industry

IVEC is the consultancy division of Eville & Jones Ltd, one of the largest veterinary public health contractors in the world. The groups' largest client is the UK government; we have also worked for a number of other governments and their agencies, including EU States, China and Vietnam , amongst others.

In order to meet the growing demand for specialist advice on the management of food safety and control of food-borne illness, we have strengthened our team by creating a network of highly qualified and multi-disciplinary experts to work in close co-operation with our in-house Chartered Environmental Health Practitioners, Environmental Health Officers and Official Veterinarians. We have always had a strong commitment to quality management, having achieved ISO9000 and Investors in People. We are in the process of achieving the EN 45004 standard. All our activities are always conducted with a strong adherence to the need for integrity and in full compliance with the requirements of the Royal College and other professional bodies. Not only are we able to draw on over 100 qualified professionals, all of whom will be members of either the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health or other professional Institutes/Colleges, but we also have fluency in over 15 languages. All our consultants and associates also have additional qualifications and exceed their Continuing Professional Development requirements. In addition to this we have a number of associates and links with universities, professional bodies and research organisations throughout the world. Whether you require a multi-lingual team to be deployed rapidly to help bring an outbreak of food-borne illness under control, expert opinion on the causes of a food-poisoning outbreak, analysis of a food safety management system or even an in-depth audit of a HACCP written in Slovakian; IVEC can help. From our modern headquarters in Leeds , or from one of our sub-offices or associates, we are able to rapidly organise and deploy a team of appropriate experts almost anywhere in the world. As well as being able to respond to emergencies and major incidents, when called upon we can use our international networks, to assist in resolving issues relating to the import and export of foodstuffs and products of animal origin.
